An MIT Researcher, Stephanie Seneff, PhD, while serving on a special conference panel to discuss GMOS, declared that Glyphosate Herbicide will cause half of all children to have autism by 2025.
While this theory may seem shocking at first, it does not come as a surprise given that children and infants are especially vulnerable to the effects of environmental chemicals like glyphosate. New research in neuroscience has identified critical windows of vulnerability in fetal life and in early childhood when exposure to certain toxic chemicals and medications can have a devastating impact on the developing brain.
These studies also suggest that fetuses are the most vulnerable in mothers who cannot adequately detoxify harmful chemicals. The following steps can be taken in an effort to not only reduce exposure to environmental chemicals during pregnancy but also support a good detoxication system so that when exposed the body can handle it.
1. Address the Source of an Impaired Detoxification System
Correcting the problem is not as simple as putting yourself in a detoxification program. You have to correct the source of the problem which in many cases may be a brain balance. Enlist that guidance of a functional neurologist in order to identify and effectively address the core issue.
2. Avoid Chemical Pesticides
You can’t escape environmental chemicals completely but you can do your best to avoid them by limited exposure to pesticides and other chemicals in food. Go organic and thoroughly wash all fruits and vegetables. In addition try and avoid conventionally grown dirty dozen as published by Environmental Working Group.
3. Increase Glutathione Levels
Your body detoxifies naturally by releasing a substance called glutathione. Levels of glutathione, combined with the balance of your brian and nervous system, help determine your ability to purge toxins from your body. More on this can be found on page 250 of my book “Autism: The Scientific Truth About Preventing, Diagnosing, and Treating Autism Spectrum Disorders – and What Parents Can Do Now”
The role environmental chemicals play in increasing your chances of having a child with autism is more insidious than just breathing toxic chemicals. If you’re experiencing signs of an impaired detoxification system like digestive problems, chronic inflammation, poor immunity, high blood sugar, and a hormonal imbalance, it’s important to address those issues prior to conception.
